Glacial Seas, was the most important scene of the panoramic Zones Terrestres designed by the artist Eugène Ehrmann in 1855 and printed by the Zuber manufacture.
Over 2000 wood-blocks were required for the making of this décor (blocks destroyed during WW II)
This panel wood-block printed during the second half XIX-early XXc. reflects the fine process of early printing- finesse of the engraving and delicacy of the tones.
In excellent condition, the panel is mounted on acid-free linen canvas and stretcher.
