This exceptionally well-preserved wallpaper panel of the Revolutionary period reflects the taste of the late XVIII century: 

Neo-classical style combining ruins, pastoral scenes and garlands of flowers introducing the tricolor motifs, ribbon and rosette, of France’s new era.

Wood-block printed. Parisian manufacture, late XVIII century.

In excellent condition, never hung. Mounted on canvas and stretcher.
