More Than Wallpaper

Carolle Thibaut-Pomerantz is an expert in the decorative art of wallpaper. But this decorative art is far more than wallpaper. So much so that the word wallpaper doesn’t even suffice.
“Wallpaper is not the most enhancing term,” the Franco-American historian and art dealer says of the vintage decors and wood-block printed on paper from the XVIII-XIX centuries, Art Nouveau and Deco periods that she specializes in. “That’s why I am starting to use the French term papier peint.”
