Design commissioned to the painter Carle Vernet (1758-1836), specialist of horse and hunt scenes (this is the only panoramique known to be designed by this artist).
Wood-block printed on paper by Jacquemart, successor of Reveillon, Paris, 1812 and 1815.
The 1812 version shows the hunters in red vests, dating of the Empire period.
This set dates of 1815, the hunters are in blue vests symbolizing the return to the throne of the Bourbon king.
This version of the décor (4 scenes in continuity) is missing the 6 first strips showing the departure from the chateau.
All 4 scenes are mounted on canvas and stretcher.
